2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, Nelson Ranch

TASTING NOTE:  Black cherry and dark, ripe berries with a hint of toasted oak grace the nose of this elegant cabernet sauvignon.  Dark chocolate and blueberry flavors shine through the structured, mouthfilling tannins that are silky and plush.  This is sure to improve with time; best now through 2025.

 

FOOD PAIRING:  This versatile, food friendly cabernet sauvignon pairs well with traditional main courses such as braised short ribs, but will also complement more adventurous dishes like Chorizo Poached in Red Wine or Beef Stir-Fry with Fresh and Pickled Ginger.
