TASTING NOTES: Perched at the top of Mount Veeder in Napa Valley, this high elevation vineyard is the sole source of cabernet sauvignon for this densely rich and concentrated, full-bodied wine. Aromas of dark chocolate and ripe mountain blueberry explode in tones of black currant, sage, and exotic black pepper. The palate offers a smooth and tingling in acidity, yet also shows length and breadth. This wine will be best enjoyed now through 2030.
FOOD PAIRING: The 2017 Mount Veeder Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent match for rosemary-pepper beef rib roast with porcini jus, pan-roasted veal chops with cabernet sauce, or a hanger steak with Pommes Frites.
