2017 Cabernet Franc, Giles Vineyard

TASTING NOTE:  Sumptuous olallieberry and black currant aromas lead to a well-balanced mouthfeel.  Rich and full-bodied, this wine shows characteristics of blueberry compote with nuisances of white pepper, bittersweet chocolate, and wet stone.  Drink now or cellar until 2029.

 

FOOD PAIRING:  This wine is an excellent pairing with a brasserie-style steak au poivre.  The complexity of this wine complements dishes with texture and depth such as braised meats like Boeuf Bourguignon.
