2018 Cabernet Sauvignon, Louvau Vineyard
Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County
TASTING NOTE: Reminiscent of an old-world style Cabernet, with an earthiness that complements the fruit. The nose features a pleasant dustiness that evolves into notes of leather and a dollop of black fruit. The palate exhibits a black fruit character with flavors of blackberries and plum. The finish lingers with a balanced tannic structure. . Drink now through 2028.
FOOD PAIRING: This rich and robust Cabernet is a great match with a filet or grilled t-bone. Not too heavy for pulled pork or Italian dishes, but full-bodied enough to serve with short ribs or a mushroom bacon burger. Umami flavors like Shitake mushrooms and roasted red peppers also pair nicely with this wine.
