2019 River Trace Grenache Syrah Mourvedre

TASTING NOTE:  This Rhone-style blend showcases stunning aromatics of boysenberries, candied-violets, and mountain blueberries.  Exquisitely smooth on the palate, the flavors are fruit-rich with suggestions of plum, dried cherries, and black tea.  The tannins are subtle, and the finish is well-balanced with a delicate spice note on the back palate.

 

FOOD PAIRING:  This full-bodied, age-worthy wine is an excellent match for high-fat, flavorful dishes like grilled or barbecued red meats, aged cheeses, and earthy recipes that call for lentils, mushrooms, or olives. Because this wine is so lush, it's a great choice to serve by the glass on its own.
