2019 Viognier, Louvau Vineyard
Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County
Morning fog from the Pacific Ocean tempers warm summer days, the Louvau Vineyard has a great balance of maritime and inland climates. The 2019 Louvau Vineyard Viognier is a classically fine-formed white that is aromatic and expressive.
TASTING NOTE: This elegant and delicate wine features aromas of sweet stone fruit, jasmine, and citrus flowers, with a touch of butterscotch and vanilla bean. The finish has flavors of pear and tropical papaya, framed by subtle acidity.
FOOD PAIRING: Viognier is excellent with grilled seafood or ceviche. Asian fare, like Thai or Vietnamese food, are also good choices, as this wine's delicate acidity and floral aromas balance out spicy foods and exotic flavors.
