2022 French Colombard, Cameron Vineyard

Fermented in 90% Stainless Steel and 10% Acacia Barrel, our 2022 French Colombard expresses bright fruit flavors and refreshing acidity.  French Colombard is a white French grape variety that is the offspring of Gouasi blanc and Chenin Blanc.  In France, French Colombard is among the permitted white grape varieties in Bordeaux.

 

TASTING NOTES: Thriving in the drier climates of California, French Colombard is a refreshing easy drinking white wine. The cool temperatures of the Russian River Valley provide this wine with lively acidity and lift. Aromas of navel orange, nectarine, honey and kumquat are followed by flavors of orange blossom, crisp green apple and honeydew melon.

FOOD PAIRINGS: This wine will be sure to pair nicely with salads, fresh ceviche and sushi. The luscious fruit flavors will complement cheeses like gruyere, manchego or a dry jack cheese from California.
